Comparative Analysis on Dehumidification Performance of KCOOH–LiCl Hybrid Liquid Desiccant Air-Conditioning System: An Energy-Saving Approach

Conventional air conditioners (AC) operate on vapor compression refrigeration (VCR) technology, which is a heavy consumer of electricity, and the used refrigerants harm environment. In humid hot areas, liquid desiccant AC system integrated with VCR has been proposed as better alternative to traditional standalone system, it an energy-efficient that can remove latent load, pollutants from processed air, energy-saving. this study, hybrid conditioning (LDAC) capacity 5.5 kW was designed developed by integrating these two different technologies, pressure potassium formate (KCOOH) solution at temperatures concentrations were monitored experimentally determine optimal concentration range. Moreover, comparative study conducted analyze dehumidification performance lithium chloride (LiCl) KCOOH solutions. Experiments are using Minitab 19 software, employs design experimental technique through full factorial considering four variables, namely, type desiccant, inlet flow rate, temperature, humidity.
